This 85-hour non-residential training at the Alchemy School of Yoga in Ireland will enhance your skills and ability to support pregnant mothers through asana, pranayama, mantra, meditation, and yogic wisdom.

The course instills in you the presence and clarity to hold space for a woman’s own self-empowerment, creating greater, deeper connection with her own body for the sacred rite of passage that is pregnancy and birth.

This training isn't just for yoga teachers, it's for EVERYONE who feels called to support women through this journey, including midwives, doulas, nurses, doctors, childbirth educators, and those who are ready to awaken their inner wildness.

For 10 days, we will steep ourselves in the ancient wisdom offered during this in depth, comprehensive 85-hour Birth Worker Yoga Training. We go far beyond just adapting the postures for pregnant bodies – it offers a holistic, comprehensive, and revolutionary system to support mothers in all stages of pregnancy and postpartum.

This isn't just a course to prepare you to radically shift a pregnant mother's experience, this is an intensive to awaken to unapologetic self love as well.

Graduates of this training will get a certificate for 85+ CEU hours, which exceeds the expectations for registration as a Prenatal Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance.

:: THE SCIENCE ::

  • The Femal Anatomy Demystified - A clear, comprehensive exploration of female anatomy – including the pelvic floor and perineal muscles and how they impact the childbearing journey, the anatomy of pregnancy, and the transformations that occur in the woman's body over the course of the 3 trimesters.
  • The Hormonal Axis Of Birth - You will delve into the relationship between the nervous system, endocrine system, and the child's perspective on life. This is complemented with a thorough, hands-on study of Ayurvedic and holistic nutrition.

:: THE PRACTICE ::

  • Over 25 Distinct Asana Postures and Pranayama Breathing Techniques - Presented with an emphasis on how to use asana postures and pranayama breathing techniques to support the pregnancy of the woman and birth of the baby, in this module you’ll learn how to safely apply yoga techniques and practices to support women throughout every stage of their pregnancy.
  • ​Conscious Cueing for Greater Feminine Empowerment - This module is an excursion into the realm of conscious cueing. You will learn what conscious cueing is, and how it can be used to encourage a shameless, empowering feminine atmosphere liberated from fear.

  • ​Conscious Conception and Womb Healing Practices - A detailed look into using conscious conception and womb healing practices so that the pregnant woman is free to release shame and fear – and more fully connect with her body with awareness.
  • Sacred Self Care and Postpartum Healing Rituals - Discover ancient rituals that facilitate a healing space for the Mother to reconnect with her body in this new form, as well as open up space for her to melt into loving connection with the baby. Dive into these ancient practices, their history, and how they can be integrated during classes to deeply serve your students.
  • Sacred Healing Songs from Ancient Cultures - Using the uplifting power of song to heal and infuse more of the sacred in the pregnancy journey – and learn how these sacred healing songs have a real, positive biological impact on the pregnant body and add to overall well-being and vitality.

If you place your deposit by May 31st, 2020 you will be entitled to the Early Bird discount of $110 off the remaining balance! In this case, the total training tuition will be a discounted $1,790 USD (around €1,600 EUR).

A non-refundable deposit of $570 USD (around €510 EUR) holds your place in the Training, and the remaining is due 60 days before the Training start date (by June 7th, 2020).

Investment in this professional training is normally $1,900 USD (around €1,700 EUR) and includes 10 days of non-residential Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training, daily embodiment practices, workshops on women's health and anatomy, as well as a profile on the Womben Wellness website upon graduation.

The entire program will take place at Alchemy School of Yoga, just 6km outside of Cork City. Here, you will be welcomed into a community dedicated to learning, connecting, exploring and expanding. The program will begin at 8.30am on the first day of the Training and will by 12pm on the last day.

If you are coming from abroad, you are required to purchase Travel Insurance for your time in Ireland. The insurance coverage must cover the following: emergency evacuation, repatriation of remains, medical expenses, and trip cancellation. This will protect you in the event that you are required to fly home early or are unable to join us last minute due to an unforeseen emergency. GIVING BACK AND POSITIVE IMPACT
Good Shepherd Foundation
A major mission at Womben Wellness is creating opportunity to make a lasting, sustainable and positive impact for the women locally. We will therefore be donating a percentage of every tuition to the Good Shepherd Foundation.

The Good Shepherd Foundation supports women and children who are vulnerable to homelessness to live more empowered, fulfilled and self-sufficient lives. Their project, Edel House, provides emergency accommodation and care for out of home women. Their on-site team also works with residents to return them to independent living as soon as possible in a sustainable manner. 

Since it's inception in 2013, Edel House had had a occupancy rate of 100%. In 2018 they supported 203 women and children out of homelessness.

USHA ANANDI
FOUNDER and CO-DIRECTOR OF WOMBEN WELLNESS
Connecting women with the power of their inner intelligence and guidance is at the core of Usha's offerings. Drawing upon her education as a Western holistic nutritionist, birth and postpartum doula, prenatal yoga teacher, womb worker, and placenta encapsulation specialist, Usha encourages self inquiry and exploration as she takes her students on a journey of the body.

She believes in the body’s innate ability to heal itself given the proper conditions, and facilitates space for students to connect with their own unique rhythm.

She has spent extensive time apprenticing her teachers Doña Maria Carmen, a Zapotec traditional midwife from the mountains of Oaxaca, Mexico and Yogrishi Vishvketu PhD, a Himalayan Yoga Master from India. Usha combines her reverence and respect for ancient wisdom traditions with a modern based, scientific approach to offer transformational experiences that nourish the soul at every level. 
JEANIE JYANTI
FOUNDER OF ALCHEMY SCHOOL OF YOGA
Jeanie Jyanti combines her love of science and factual based research with the ancient holistic practices of yoga to allow students discover the joys of yoga in their own time and space.

She has studied and trained under the joyous Yogrishi Vishvketu of Akhanda Yoga in Rishikesh, India to gain her RYT500 and with the sublime Sally Parkes and Uma Dinsmore-Tuli to gain her RPYT85 Pregnancy, Post-natal, Mother and Baby and Fertility Yoga qualifications. She is fascinated and enthused by the reproductive system and is inspired to share this wisdom with her students.

She is a studio owner, teacher trainer, teacher and creator of fun and accessible ways to infuse yoga into your daily life. Education of Yoga is her passion and you'll usually find her laughing, nerding out on biochemistry, singing mantra or talking about her dog!

DO I NEED TO BE A REGISTERED YOGA TEACHER TO JOIN?
No previous yoga teaching or birth work is required to join this training.
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I APPLY?
It will take us up to 48 hours to review your application. If you are accepted into the program, you will receive a link to place your order and secure your spot. Accepted applications are non-binding and also do not save your place in the training.
after i submit my deposit, what can i expect?
You’ll receive confirmation of payment and acceptance into the Training immediately after submission. Then, our team will reach out to you within 48 hours with a registration form, as well more information about your trip.
The final balance of your payment will be due 60 days before the start date.
ARE MEALS INCLUDED IN THE RATE?
A daily light breakfast and full lunch will be served on premises.
HOW DO I GET TO THE TRAINING SITE?
There is FREE parking on premises. Otherwise, public transpiration via buses 220 and 205 is also easily available from the city center.
WILL THERE BE INTERNET ACCESS ON-SITE?
Alchemy School of Yoga has FREE Wi-Fi access in all public areas.
 What should I bring with me?
Once you place your deposit, you will receive a detailed list of items to bring that are required for the course. Two weeks before the course begins, you will receive a packing list and helpful travel information about your upcoming training.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY?
The $570 USD deposit is non-refundable. If you cancel more than 60 days before the program start date, you will receive a full refund minus the deposit. If you cancel 1-60 days in advance, there will be no refund.
